BREIS skilfully captures the essence and delivers an indictment of the current situation we find ourselves. However at the same time giving a positive insight of how we are to move forward. The Diasporians is the second album by DJ Bemi. They are a metaphor for the disbursement of music from Africa, to the western hemisphere and back up again. Join them as they traverse through a multitude of genres. We encounter the soulfulness of reverberating Rhodes the depth of bass and the power of drums, intertwined with Electronica.
Spoken word by Chocscee on track 1, and vocals by Chocscee on track 7.
Words by DJBemi: ‘Waiting for the Sun is a track taken from DJ Bemi’s release Sound Trekkin' Pt. 1. This song was very much about a mood. A relaxed contemplative mood. He definitely wanted to catch the soulful jazzy ambience of artists such as Lonnie Liston Smith. At the same time fuse an electronic, double-time groove. It is marriage that worked musically. With super soulful vocals of @chocscee , elevating the chemistry.’
